FAQ About Our Detailing Services

We put a collection of frequently asked questions about our services. Click any of the links below to jump to that section:

How long does it take to clean my interior?

It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. Generally speaking, between 2.5 to 4.5 hours. Once we see the condition, we can give you a more accurate time range.

Will my car smell like chemicals once you're done?

Absolutely not. We do not use harsh chemicals, and there will be zero traces of any smell other than your clean car or air freshener. To this day, we've never had a customer mention anything about a chemical smell.

What's your cleaning process?

We use a variety of brushes, cleaners, and machines to thoroughly clean your interior. How we clean an interior is primarily based on the condition and type of material. Sometimes, it needs a quick cleaning with a brush; other times, it needs the steamer and extractor. We've cleaned hundreds of interiors by now and have proven methods to tackle a variety of conditions. So you're in good hands!

How long does it take for the seats to dry after a shampoo?

When it's relatively warm outside, by the time we're done with the interior, the carpets and seats should be 85% dry. It'll take another hour for them to be completely dry. It takes much longer to dry if it's cold outside as the water doesn't escape as easily from the fabrics. With that being said, we never oversaturate your fabric. So you're not going to see puddles of water inside your car.

Are you able to remove every stain?

We're 100% confident in our skills and knowledge to get your interior cleaned to the best condition possible. However, some stains may be too far gone for us to completely remove. Regardless, we'll do everything we can to make it look its best. If we can't remove it, we'll at least make it look significantly better.

Do you repair upholstery?

At this time, we do not repair any upholstery like torn leather or sagging headliners. We are strictly a detailing company.

Do you remove seats to get underneath them?

With the tools, products, and knowledge we have, we can reach many areas in the interior without having to remove the seats. However, you may request your seats to be removed at an additional cost.

Can you remove the odour from my vehicle?

Cleaning an interior to make it look better is different than removing an odour from the vehicle. We can definitely remove the odour, but it takes additional steps before getting to the odour removal part of it. We first have to thoroughly clean the interior, then we'll use a fogger or Ozone machine to eliminate the smell.

What's the difference between interior stage 1 and interior stage 2?

We'll clean your entire interior from top to bottom, front to rear, to the best condition possible for interior stage 2. Interior stage 1 is a thorough vacuuming and full wipes down of all surfaces. It's more of an upkeep service.

Does stage 1 interior remove stains or pet hair?

If you have something specific in mind you want to be cleaned, just let us know when requesting a quote. Of course, the price will be higher for the additional work we provide, but we can definitely take care of that for you.

How long does this service take to complete?

It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle, but generally speaking, it takes under one hour to complete. I'm not sure if I need the Mini-Interior Detail or the Full Interior Cleaning.

No problem! Just send us some photos of your interior, and suggest which option is best for you.

Will this remove scratches from my paint?

Technically it will hide and cover the micro scratches on your paint. The wax essentially puts a layer of protection over your paint that fills in some of those scratches. This is what creates the shine.

If you want a higher level of shine by actually removing swirls and scratches, that would require paint correction.

How long does the wax/sealant last?

This is based on the type of wax/sealant, how you store and take care of your vehicle. If it's sitting outside 90% of the time, the wax won't last as long since it's constantly being beaten up by the sun, rain, bird poo, etc.… You can expect about 2 to 3 months of protection.

If your car is parked in the garage at work and home 90% of the time, then you can get 3 to 6 months of protection. Especially if you wash your car and add spray wax each time.

Do you clay bar the paint?

Of course! Before we apply the wax, your paint must be cleaned of any loose dirt or bonded contaminants so the wax can adhere to your paint correctly. This includes mechanical (clay bar) and chemical (iron remover) decontamination.

What kind of wax do you use?

There are so many products on the market. We use brands like Meguiar's, Optimum, Soft99, Jescar, P&S and Collonite. All of which are high quality.

My paint feels rough. Will this service take care of that?

It sure will! Your paint can feel rough because of two things: One, maybe it's just been a while since you've last clayed the paint, and there's a lot of stuck-on dirt on the paint. The second reason could be paint overspray landed on your vehicle. A clay bar application can solve this problem.

How long does this service take?

It depends on the size and condition of your car. Generally speaking, between 2 to 4 hours.

Does this remove scratches, water spots, or roughness from the paint?

Exterior Wash is a maintenance-focused service. It's not meant for any thorough cleaning or polishing of the paint. Instead, if you want to remove water spots or scratches, that'll be paint correction.

What's the difference between the local car wash and your Premium Wash?

You're correct, they are both car washes, but we take our process to a higher degree to give you a better end result.

Engine Bay

Is water going to damage my engine?

It can if you're not careful, but we're cautious during the entire process. We don't flood the engine with water. We use just enough to rinse off the cleaner and dirt. We use the wand at a safe distance. We cover up any sensitive areas for added precaution.

There was an oil leak. Can you clean that?

Unfortunately, if the oil/grease leak is too heavy, we won't be able to clean it up. It gets into all the nooks and crannies of the engine bay, and we're not physically able to reach all those areas. If the leak has been there for a while, it makes it even more challenging to clean up. Our engine bay cleanings focus on the top-level surface.

What's the engine cleaning process?

In a shortened version, it goes: inspect the engine > cover any sensitive areas > thoroughly spray and agitate > dry off bay> apply a dressing to plastic and rubber.

Since there are so many intricate areas to the engine bay, we have many different brushes to help us reach all those areas.

How long does it take to finish this job?

It depends on the size, condition, and complexity of the engine bay. But, generally speaking, it takes less than 45 minutes.

Do you shine the engine bay?

Yes! Once we've cleaned and dried off the engine bay, we'll use our water-based dressing and apply it to all the plastic and rubber areas.

How long will my engine bay stay clean?

It depends on the car you have and how you take care of it. Some cars are sealed off pretty well and don't allow as much water, dirt, and debris to enter. So it stays relatively clean for a while.

Cars with wide-open grilles and are not as sealed off make it much easier for dirt, water, and debris to enter. Wiping the engine bay once a month (or whenever you wash the vehicle) will help keep it in excellent condition.
